Local residents are anxiously awaiting the opening of the new Commuter Park and Ride lot next to Harry’s barn and across from AJ’s store. The newly built lot not only boosts over 20 parking spaces, but also includes a paved kiosk area with benches and professionally designed landscaping. The kiosk (a small structure having one or more sides open, used as a newsstand, refreshment stand, bandstand, informational stand, etc..) will be utilized by the Geyserville Chamber of Commerce to provide visitors with local business and attraction information. The new lot should help relieve some of the parking congestion we see on the weekends |

You might think that 80’s fashion was afoul and crazy but the 80’s fashion is back with a new style. Designers around the world agree, that adding a touch of 80’s to any kind of clothes is the newest trend. Almost every single clothing line this fall and winter season are inspired by 80’s clothing. 1980’s accessories, colors, big belts, logos, hairstyles, pumps, sunglasses, long shirts and leggings are some of the new arrivals this season. One of the best fashion statements inspired by the 80’s is the 3/4-length legging. The best way to wear leggings is with a long shirt, a short dress, a bubble shape shorts or a skirt. Long leggings are better for fall because it keeps your legs warm. The combination of a new trend with an old one makes up a new style. The Long shirts and leggings are an example of a new style. During the 80’s a lot of women used to wear a cute shoes, like pumps. There are different forms like scrunched-satin pump, cutout pump, fringe t-strap sandal, snake sling back and platform pump. This kind of shoes haven’t stop been fashionable but they got stronger this year. The best way to wear pumps is with skinny jeans, joining old with new, is creating a contemporaneous style. |

The most wanted accessory right now is the 80’s inspired shades. 80’s sunglasses were exaggerated, out standing, colorful, with a think frame, round shape, and bigger, in comparison with human’s eyes. There were different forms like aviator, oversize, and retro. With out 80’s shades we could not see the new types of shades, like retro and aviator inspired, really strong in fashion and cooler than the old ones. The leggings, the long shirts, pumps and shades are the elementary items for a fashion look this season. Accessories and outfits inspired in the 80’s are more popular among young people because it gives them an unique, playful and sophisticate way to express themselves. Only some young people will dare to try some of the 80’s inspired new styles. Fashion changes all time but it never changes complete. Clothes are always going to be inspired in other clothes. Now that you know that 80’s fashion was not as bad. Don’t be shame to express yourself with your clothes and to create your own style. Remember that in this contemporary era all clothes express a different feeling. |
