Dr. LaLa Comments

Confused Hate

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said “There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action.” I believe he is right. Ignorance can breed fear and suspicion, and when someone feels scared they are more likely to act out, become violent, cruel. Some say ignorance is bliss but how can that be if you fear everyone who is different. A great example of ignorant hate is the racial segregation in the U.S. that lasted for decades. Many whites thought that African Americans were “less-than” and acted cruelly, even to the children. Are not all men and women children of God? Or for the less religious, are they not the same species?

I strongly agree with the statement “ignorance breeds suspicion and cruelty” To be ignorance is purely the state of being misled and blinded by false prophets beliefs. I believe that if more people become willing to interact with people of different race, religion, and background then we can move on to a better happier future where everyone can coexist peacefully.

The Trust Issue

“People do not believe lies because they have to, but because they want to” said Malcolm Muggeridge.  And he is right! All over the world people would rather be lied to than be told the truth. Wouldn’t you want to be told only what you want to hear? Have the edited truth? The Media knows that people don’t want, or can’t handle the truth.

The media cannot be trusted to hold no bias and not be censored. I strongly disagree with the statement “People can trust the media to report the truth” because it’s all part of the brainwashing propaganda that all governments implement into our society. Blindly following what you are told will get you nowhere. Didn’t the Nazi’s use the peoples trust in the media against them?  I believe that the media cannot be 100% trusted to inform the truth.
