Senior Class Update |

The senior class has been busier than ever this month. We are all trying to organize our senior trip and fundraise for all our expenses. We have been having many meetings (as I’m sure all the teachers have noticed) to discuss all the details. We still do not have every single kink in our plan worked out, but what we do know is that out trip has been approved by the school board (yay!) so we will be heading out on May 12th after school. We are going to spend a wonderful long weekend in Monterey Bay. Though it is a long drive, we have three excited chaperones to drive us so the trip should be spacious and comfortable. While in Monterey some of us are planning on visiting the infamous Monterey Bay Aquarium, while some of us would rather shop and play on the beach. Whatever the activities are, I am confident that we will all have an enjoyable time. As of right now, our entire class is going to be attending which is great because it showcases our strong class unity. However, the trip is going to be expensive as we are renting a large vacation home and taking three cars. After those expenses we still need to eat. We are confident, however, that our fundraising ideas are strong and that we will be able to raise all the money we need in time for the trip. We also have to start thinking about graduation, the costs and the fun part – decorating! It is exciting how quickly graduation is coming up and I believe I can speak for everyone in the Class of 2011 when I say that we cannot wait to graduate and start colleges, careers, etc. We have some really fun and exciting and most of all creative ideas for fundraising, but as of right now they cannot be released to the public. However I will tell you that one of them involves lots and lots of duct-tape. We all hope as a class that we can get support from our teachers and school staff, as well as our peers, and we would like to thank everyone who has supported us in the past. As a whole, this school has always been very supportive of not only the senior class but all the other classes as well, and we would like to acknowledge that we are very lucky to have that kind of support. |
