to really realize their time at our school is almost up. The juniors are busy bustling around trying to make Prom a big success. Let us not forget our sophomores and freshmen; they are busy with just surviving high school and really getting into the swing of things. Okay seniors, you have survived the past three and half years, you have applied to college or plan to, and yes, you have the power to kick under-classmen out of the Senior Lounge. However, as seniors you still have a long way to go. The next few months of your lives are the busiest and probably most important. They are jam-packed with crucial deadlines for Financial Aid, Scholarships, and what you are going to be doing at the start of next year. If you want any further advice you should probably ask someone currently enrolled in the AVID class, or Mrs. Equitz herself. Furthermore, it’s important at this point to NOT DROP THE BALL! If you don’t keep your nose to the grindstone, and eventually succumb to Senioritis, Senior Trip and graduation may not happen for you at all. Can you believe you’re almost done? Juniors, you too had a lot to deal with this year. This is the time of year when you start planning when to take your SAT’s, try to figure out what to do with prom, and day-dream of yourself becoming a Senior. Planning prom is a really daunting task, kudos to those who are making it a reality. The sophomore and freshman classes are the two classes that hold the future of the high school world. Their minds are open and ready. They may be the next Student Council President or Activities Director. High school sophomores should also begin preparing for the college aspect of their lives. Now, these freshman are not so fresh, and the sophomores, not so “soph”. They have over half a year of experience under their belts and are ready to use it to their advantage. So far, this has been one fantastic, roller-coaster ride of a year. With only about two months to go, our students are working hard to complete this year and make it a big success, (with the reward of summer break to follow). |
