This year, sophomores Emily Sloma and Elizabeth Silva have had the highest GPAs throughout the year. There are three athletically skilled sophomores: Orlando Castro Perez, Kevin Johnson and Lupe Silva on the tennis team this year,. These three sophomores are new to the tennis team and are doing and amazing job. Tennis has a CMC tournament coming up on May 2-3 and STAR testing has captured a lot of Mr. Klug’s tennis players. Most sophomores on the tennis team won’t be able to go to the tennis tournament cause of STAR testing.

Three sophomores, Janene Borromeo, Nataly Duran, and Selena Galvez are the only girls in their class to join the softball team this year. Janene and Nataly have never played softball before and are learning how to bat, throw the ball, play outfield, and learn how to use two hands when catching the ball. Selena Galvez has been on the softball team for two years now and is an amazing pitcher, and plays shortstop as well.

Molly Bockelman and Iris Vasquez love Buena Vista and say that they get a lot of their work done and are ahead of their class.
